A model has taken to social media to claim that her friend uninvited her from her wedding at the last minute, due to the fact she looked “too good”.
Fashion model Alena took to TikTok earlier this week to share her unique wedding story, writing in one video: “My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me.”
Alena – who goes by the handle @alenayildiz on TikTok – then added that despite being asked not to attend the wedding, she still managed to get some “fire” photos of her wearing the dress.

The video quickly went viral on the platform, amassing over 6.5 million views and over 9,000 comments, with people desperate to know more about the situation. Alena happily replied to several comments and provided more details on what went down between her and the bride.

When asked about what was said prior to the uninviting, Alena said: “We argued about it on the phone and then she texted me that she doesn’t want me to attend her wedding anymore.”
Among many comments praising how the model looked in the gown, people were also quick to point out the fact that the bride chose the dress – not Alena – to which she said: “All I did was look the way I look in her preferred dress.”
Another TikToker did comment how she could “understand” where the bride was coming from, and questioned why Alena didn’t just “respect it and pick another dress”.
Alena replied to the comment, saying: “I get what you mean, but she uninvited me right before the wedding so there wasn’t even time to get a new one I just stayed home.”
One TikToiker also shared their similar experience, writing: “Same. My ‘friend’ since high school didn’t want me in her wedding party because she thought I’d outshine her […] insecure much?”
Alena responded to the comment with the following advice: “Please just cut her off like I did!! That’s not a real friend.”
