Marion Barber, former running back for the Dallas Cowboys, was found de’ad in his Texas apartment on Wednesday. The cause of de’ath remains unknown.
Following the breaking news, the Cowboys released a statement about the untimely passing of their former player. “We are hea’rtbro’ken by the tra’gic de’ath of Marion Barber III,” the statement reads. “Marion was an old-school, hard-nosed football player who ran with the will to win every down. He had a passion for the game and love for his coaches and teammates. Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
Barber was selected by the Cowboys with 109th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft and played the entirety of his career but one season for the Cowboys with the lone season he played for the Chicago Bears before retiring.
He was just 38-years-old.
