Legendary Dj Kay Slay Dead At 55 After 4 Month Covid Battle

On Wednesday, January 5, Wack100 took it to his social media and shared a picture of DJ Kay Slay, as he revealed the rapper has the virus.

And shared the odds weren’t good.

Wack100 wrote: “Pray for my brotha @djkayslay. It’s not looking good. He might be mad at me for this those that know Slay but he needs all the support he can get … Been 14 days fighting COVID and he’s just be put on a ventilator. Keep him in your prayers please.”

Four months later, things didn’t get any better.

Now, according to his family and peers, Kay Slay died after his four-month battle with COVID-19, TMZ reports. It looks like the rapper passed away on Sunday, April 15.

The news was first confirmed by Wack 100, and then others, as tributes started to pour in from across the industry. His family writes, “Our hearts are broken by the passing of Keith Grayson, professionally known as DJ Kay Slay.”

They add, “A dominant figure in Hip Hop culture with millions of fans worldwide, DJ Kay Slay will be remembered for his passion and excellence with a legacy that will transcend generations.”
