Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada is baptized as a Christian for the second time. She’s now saying that there will be no more ratchetness. Over the weekend, reality star Evelyn Lozada recommitted her life to Christianity in a beautiful ceremony, which is now being called a “transformational experience.”
Evelyn has been a Christian for several years, but she certainly hasn’t been acting like a good “Christian” sister. Over the weekend, she’s just decided to re-commit herself to God, and here’s what her friend had to say. “Evelyn is always going to be who she is, but she’s walking in Christ now.”
The source also said, “Don’t expect ratchetness.”
Evelyn went onto Instagram, where she posted a picture captioned, “The journey though personal is also about staying true to who I am, who HE is, and what truly feeds my soul.” With the announcement, many people are wondering if she’ll be taking steps to mend the broken fences between her and some of her costars.
But it’s not the first time that Evelyn has pulled a stunt like this, so it’s easy to understand why so many are doubting her. Back in 2013, she completely revamped her image when she was featured on the cover of “Latina Magazine.” She told the magazine that she decided to get re-baptized, and she is working with a life coach, Tony Gaskins, Jr.
“Tony was talking to me about soul ties, and I felt like I needed to cut that cord [with Johnson]. I wanted to do things differently, to start over,” Lozada said. “I’m still going to be Evelyn, but I have a different vision of my life.” However, that mentality did not last long. By 2017, she was already calling herself “a feisty little b*tch.”
This year, she made headlines after making a series of racist comments, and for fighting on the popular VH1 show.
