Jeannie Mai, one of the hosts of “The Real” is now off the market. It was just announced that she is dating “Soul Survivor” rapper Jeezy. Sources claim that the two have been friends for several years and have been dating off and on, but now they’ve made things official. Last week, the happy couple was photographed at Jeezy’s inaugural SnoBall Gala.
One of the rapper’s reps says, “the couple walked into the event arm-in-arm and were all smiles through the night.” Keep reading for the details.
Last week, Jeannie and Jeezy made their first official appearance as a couple at the SnoBall Gala, an event held to raise funds for Jeezy’s non-profit organization, Street Dreamz. During the event, Jeezy received his second Phoenix Award, for his contribution to Atlanta’s youth.
He also celebrated the release of his album, “TM 104: Legend of the Snowman.”
Two years ago, Jeannie divorced her husband of 10 years, Freddy Harteis. One of the biggest factors affecting their marriage was the disagreements as to whether they would have children. She later said in an interview, “Knowing what I know now about who I married, I wouldn’t have married him.”
Six months after she announced their divorce, Freddy announced that he and his new flame were expecting their first child.
Rumors that the two were dating began back in January when Kardashian family friend, Malika Haqq posted a photo of the TV host with them, her boyfriend, as well as Lori Harvey and Trey Songz. The following week, she revealed to her co-hosts that they were spending more time together.
She said, “Jeezy and I hang out.” He’s very special to me, so we don’t really have a label to define what it is we’re doing. We’re just having a good time together.”
Mai was seen in a sparkly white dress that exposed her left leg and right shoulder. Jezzy wore a classic black tux, and the two looked great together.
