Love & Hip Hop Star Mendeecees Harris To Be Released From Prison In 2020 (Breaking Details)

It looks like we have some good news! Love & Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris, Yandy Smith-Harris’ husband, will reportedly finish his sentence soon! We just found out that after his sentence in 2015, he will leave prison much earlier and return home in 2020!

Back in 2015, Mendeecees received a sentence from eight to ten years from drug trafficking. But it seems that the star won’t be doing his full sentence, and that he will get the chance to leave prison sooner, according to Bossip.

Mendeecees starred in Love and Hip Hop: New York with his partner, Yandy Smith, but had to leave it to begin his sentence.

During the trial, he was find guilty for his role in a drug trafficking ring. The star was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison in 2015. He made an appeal in Appellate Court, but the appeal was denied. However, he received credit for the fifteen months he had already served before he was granted bail.

He took a plea deal to plead guilty to transporting illegal substances (cocaine and heroin) from New York City to Rochester, New York between 2006 and 2008.

Currently, Harris, now 40, is currently housed in a medium-security prison in New Jersey after initially being jailed in Pennsylvania. During his time in prison, Mendeecees has completed a substance abuse prevention program. He also took classes on how to parent from prison, courses in money management, health and nutrition, and public speaking.

Hopefully, that will help get him back on his feet as soon as he returns home.

It looks like Mendeecees has been quite lucky. After only serving about halfway of his sentence, the star will be able to come home. And surely his classes have helped and might stop him from going down the same path yet again.

The question is, will he return to Love & Hip Hop? Because we’re sure he has quite a lot of stories to share.
