This 9-Year-Old Entrepreneur Raised $28,000 To Start Her Own Hair Accessory Line

Ever dreamed of starting your own business as a child? Well, 9-year-old entrepreneur Gabrielle Goodwin made it happen.

The hard-working elementary school visionary recently created a Kickstarter to raise funds for her new functional hair accessory line GaBBY Bows and the response from people wanting to help make her dream a reality was overwhelming. To date, Gabrielle has raised $28,000 through her Kickstarter campaign and has received an outpouring of support from multiple local businesses and investors.

Gabrielle was just five years old when she shared the idea of creating hair barrettes that would stay in her hair with her mom. Together, the mother-daughter duo began working towards Gabby’s goal and created the Double Face Double-Snap Barrette by GaBBY.

Fast forward to 2016 and the South Carolina fourth-grader now has a thriving hair accessory line available in 48 states and eight countries.

But Gabrielle’s grind doesn’t stop there.

As self-proclaimed President and CEO of the company, Gabrielle also serves as the lead salesman, handles inventory and even hosts “GaBBY Play Dates” to teach other young girls in local shelters about pursuing entrepreneurship. We couldn’t be more proud of the inspiring example this young lady is setting for kids all around the world! To find out more about GaBBY Bows, you can visit the official website here.
