The legendary Naomi Campbell has revealed that she wants an unknown, rising star to play her in a biopic about her life and career.
“I would like it to be someone, who is unknown and preferably someone from South London,” She told Daily Mail. “I’ve had my success, and I want to see the success of the next generation.”
It’s unclear what the model’s upcoming project might be, but Campbell’s extravagant career certainly lends insight into the potential project.
Over the past four decades, the British star has cemented herself as one of the most prominent and sought-after models.
In addition to the glitz and glamour, she also has some less-than-glamorous tales to tell.
In 1999, Campbell was in rehab after suffering from substance abuse and addiction when she first began her modeling career.
In 2017, she spoke out about her past addiction, saying: “I was never ashamed of substance abuse. I never took a break. I finally said, ‘I want to go away, and I chose to make the phone call to go to rehab.’”
Campbell eventually took back control of her career and established herself as a runway icon.
