At just 8 years old, Akiane Kramarik created a stunning portrait of Jesus, “Prince of Peace,” that would captivate the world. This extraordinary artwork, stolen and hidden for 16 years, has resurfaced, revealing a remarkable story of divine inspiration and perseverance.
Now 28, Akiane is a renowned author and philanthropist. Her spiritual awakening, which began at age 4, sparked a creative journey. “God’s voice is gentle and lovely,” she describes.
Raised in a non-religious Idaho home, Akiane’s sudden connection to her faith astonished her family. Her mother, Forelli, recalls, “We didn’t attend church or discuss God.”
Akiane’s vision of a carpenter fueled her painting. After praying, a carpenter resembling Jesus appeared at their door, validating her vision.
A Turbulent Journey
“Prince of Peace” was stolen, sold, and hidden for 16 years. Akiane endured intense legal battles to reclaim her masterpiece. Finally, it was sold to a private collector and is now showcased at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas.
Reflecting on its return, Akiane says, “It’s still surreal… Love is incredibly powerful.” Her artwork continues to inspire, transcending borders and faiths.
