Kid Rock Stands Firm on Controversial Comments

Kid Rock, the outspoken rapper and musician, has reaffirmed his controversial statements about Joy Behar and Oprah Winfrey, refusing to apologize for his inebriated tirade at his Nashville honky-tonk in 2019.

In a recent interview on Fox Nation’s “Tucker Carlson Originals,” Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Richie, stated, “A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s ideas; I own what I said.”

He reiterated his disdain for Oprah Winfrey, saying, “I don’t apologize to anybody. I don’t like Oprah.” Kid Rock also clarified his 2019 remarks, which included an expletive-laced rant against Winfrey and Behar.

A video from 2019 showed Kid Rock yelling, “F— Oprah Winfrey and f— Joy Behar,” onstage. He also unintentionally insulted Kathie Lee Gifford, mistaking her for comedian Kathy Griffin.

Although Kid Rock expressed fleeting regret for the Kathie Lee Gifford comment, saying he felt “a little terrible” about it, he remained unapologetic about his overall stance.

Kid Rock’s history of controversy extends beyond this incident. His Nashville restaurant, Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock n’ Roll Steakhouse, defied COVID-19 restrictions in 2020.

Additionally, Kid Rock and professional golfer John Daly were accused of disregarding mask mandates during the 2020 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Kid Rock’s refusal to back down from his comments has sparked intense debate. While some admire his unapologetic attitude, others condemn his inflammatory rhetoric.

Love him or hate him, Kid Rock remains an unapologetic and outspoken figure in the music industry, unwilling to censor himself or conform to societal expectations.
