In today’s world, it’s easy to get offended by just about anything. Many people struggle with the idea that someone else might be right while they’re wrong. Unfortunately, we’re surrounded by people who are quick to share their opinions.
A humorous joke illustrates the reactions of two characters with differing beliefs. You’ll find yourself laughing at this one.
A devout woman would wake up every morning, open her front door, and proclaim from her porch, “Praise the Lord!” This would infuriate her atheist neighbor, who would always counter with, “There is no Lord.”
One morning, the atheist neighbor overheard the woman praying for food. Thinking it would be amusing, he bought her a variety of groceries and left them on her porch.
The next morning, the woman exclaimed, “Praise the Lord, who provided me with this food.” Her neighbor, barely containing his laughter, shouted back, “It wasn’t the Lord, it was me!”
Without missing a beat, the woman cleverly responded, “Praise the Lord for not only providing me with food but also for making the atheist pay for it!”
