Riona’s journey to recovery was nothing short of miraculous. After being rescued, she received emergency medical treatment, including twice-daily full-body wraps to protect her skin. Despite the trauma she endured, Riona’s spirit remained unbroken, and she continued to wag her tail throughout her recovery.

Meanwhile, Quishon Brown, the 43-year-old suspect accused of setting Riona on fire, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and two felonies: aggravated cruelty to animals and setting fire to personal property. The case is currently awaiting trial.
