Pat Sajak discusses his emergency surgery. He believed he was going to die from the pain

In a candid interview with “Good Morning America,” Pat Sajak, the beloved host of “Wheel of Fortune,” shared his terrifying experience with a blocked bowel that led to emergency surgery.

Just a month ago, Sajak was out for a stroll with his daughter when excruciating pain struck, leaving him doubled over and fearing for his life. Despite medication, the agony persisted until a special drug finally brought relief, but with an unexpected side effect – a euphoric sensation that made him wonder if he was dying.

In a surreal moment, Sajak heard his wife and daughter’s distant voices, worrying about the impact on his loved ones. Fortunately, the procedure was a success, and Sajak’s fears were alleviated.

With no underlying cause found, Sajak doesn’t need to make lifestyle changes and has been feeling great, even returning to the studio to spin the wheel once more. His co-host, Vanna White, filled in during his recovery, leaving Sajak jokingly concerned she might steal the show.

Through it all, Sajak remains grateful and at ease in his role, saying, “I’m still on my guard.” His harrowing experience serves as a reminder to cherish life and appreciate the support of loved ones.
