Today, Princess Lilibet celebrated her third birthday with a special gift from her grandfather, King Charles. Despite the ongoing family feud, the monarch ensured he marked the occasion with a thoughtful present and a heartfelt message.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, King Charles sent a gift to Lilibet, demonstrating his love and connection to his granddaughter, even from afar. Quinn revealed, “King Charles wanted to acknowledge Lilibet’s special day, so he sent a gift with a personal message.”
The king has a special tradition of gifting his grandchildren handmade wooden swings with their names carved on them. While Lilibet won’t receive hers just yet, Quinn shared that King Charles plans to give her a similar gift when the family feud resolves. However, Meghan Markle has set clear boundaries on acceptable gifts, limiting the king’s choices.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hosted a grand birthday bash at their California home, attended by celebrities like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, and their daughter Daisy. Other notable guests included Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey. Notably, no members of the Royal Family received invitations to the celebration.
Quinn commented, “Surprisingly, no Royal Family members were invited to Lilibet’s party.” Despite this, King Charles’s thoughtful gift shows his dedication to his granddaughter, even in the midst of family tensions.
