Instead of being proud and supportive, he became fixated on paying the bill with my card, making me feel embarrassed and humiliated.

But when he couldn’t provide the necessary information, I took control, paying the bill with another card and leaving Troy to struggle with the tip.
As we parted ways, the waitress revealed she had discarded the napkin with Troy’s number. I realized I deserved better than a relationship that made me doubt myself. I was finally over Troy and his condescending behavior.
