A heartwarming exchange between a police officer and a little girl on a bike has become a delightful holiday anecdote.
As the officer, mounted on horseback, approached the young cyclist, he asked with a smile, “Did Santa get you that bike?” The little girl’s response was prompt: “Yes.”
The officer, concerned for her safety, added, “Well, tell Santa to put a reflector light on it next year!” and handed her a $5 fine. Undeterred, the little girl looked up at the officer and cleverly retorted, “Nice horse you’ve got there, did Santa bring you that?”
The officer chuckled, admitting, “He sure did!” The quick-witted girl seized the opportunity, replying, “Well, next year tell Santa that the saddle goes under the horse, not on top of it!” Her cheeky response left the officer in stitches.
This lighthearted encounter reminds us of the importance of humor and kindness during the holiday season. Even in unexpected situations, a little bit of wit and playfulness can bring joy to those around us.”
