The property also featured a Native American cemetery, which was a significant part of the family’s history.
Over the years, the farm changed hands several times within the family, but it was eventually neglected and fell into disrepair. That was until Jennifer decided to purchase the farm in 2017. She didn’t just buy the farm to preserve the family’s history; she had a vision to restore it to its former glory and turn it into a thriving business.
Jennifer hired her uncle Robert and aunt Janet, who had previously owned the farm, to help her with the project. It had been 40 years since the farm had been actively cultivated, but Jennifer was determined to bring it back to life. She established “Once Upon a Farm” with her co-founders, with the goal of growing organic fruits and vegetables to create nutritious food for children.

The company, which was launched in 2018, has been a huge success, with its products being stocked in major retailers across America and sold online through the company’s website.
