In a terrifying incident that has left a family in Thailand shaken, a massive 12-foot python emerged from their toilet, sending shockwaves through the household. The incident occurred on March 17 in Samut Prakan, where Suwi Paramas, a housewife, was left traumatized by the sudden appearance of the snake while she was washing her hands in the bathroom.
The family quickly summoned emergency services, and a wildlife crew was dispatched to the scene. However, extracting the snake proved to be a challenging task. The crew had to dismantle the plumbing to safely remove the snake, a painstaking process that required great care and precision.
Suwi was visibly shaken by the encounter, admitting that she was too scared to even watch the snake being caught. “I was so scared. I couldn’t even watch why they were catching the snake. It could have killed me,” she expressed. Thankfully, the operation was carried out without harm to anyone, and the snake was rescued with the intention of returning it to its natural habitat.
This incident is not an isolated one in Thailand, where snakes often seek refuge in cool, damp areas during hot seasons. In fact, there have been several reported cases of snakes emerging from toilets and bathrooms in the country. In 2021, a man was bitten by an 8-foot python in a restroom, and a similar incident took place in 2016 when a python bit a man in the genitals. These incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of being aware of one’s surroundings, especially in areas where snakes are common.
