It looks like Pat Sajak is ready for his last Wheel of Fortune spin.
The 75-year-old Sajak told Entertainment Tonight, “That’s probably enough for most TV shows at this point.” But this show will not end.
Wheel of Fortune has been around since 1975, and Sajak joined in 1981. During his 40 years on the show, Sajak and his co-host, 65-year-old Vanna White, have become its faces.
The host thought about his next move and said, “It looks like I may go before the show.”
After the viral “Feather in Your Cap” puzzle fail, Pat Sajak defends Wheel of Fortune contestants.

“Being in people’s living rooms for that long is an honor.” Out there, people were happy to see us. “We’re happy and proud,” Sajak said. He also jokes with famous people on the show’s spin-off, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Meryl Streep is on his wish list of contestants.
Sajak agreed, “Years go by quickly.” He did say, “We’re getting close to the end.” It’s been a long time. We’re not going to do this for forty years. “The end is almost here.”
After a third contestant wins $100,000 in the same week, Pat Sajak jokes that he will leave the Wheel of Fortune set.
Vanna White and Pat Sajak: In December, Sajak celebrated his 40th anniversary as a host with a speech from his daughter Maggie. “Happy 40th Wheel-iversary to this guy!” she wrote along with an old photo of her dad hosting the show. “His first episode of @WheelofFortune aired on this day in 1981… and the rest is history!”
The steady host has only missed one episode to have surgery for a clogged bowel, which gave White the chance to host.
