Kevin Costner Wins Child Support Battle Against Ex-Wife Christine Baumgartner

Kevin Costner and his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner have been embroiled in a bitter child support battle. Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023, after 18 years of marriage, and sought $248,000 per month in child support. However, the court has ruled in Costner’s favor, and his monthly child support payments will be significantly lower, at $63,209.

The court’s decision was a major victory for Costner, who had accused Baumgartner of mismanaging their finances and spending lavishly on personal items. Baumgartner had claimed that she needed the large sum of money to maintain the luxurious lifestyle that their children were accustomed to.

During the court hearing, Baumgartner became emotional and tearful, particularly when discussing the family’s ranch in Aspen, Colorado. However, Costner remained calm and composed throughout the proceedings.

In a statement outside the court, Costner expressed his gratitude that the court had ruled in his favor. He acknowledged that he and Baumgartner would have to co-parent their children, but he was confident that they could work together for the benefit of their kids.

The outcome of the child support battle has been met with mixed reactions from the public. Some have expressed sympathy for Baumgartner, while others have congratulated Costner on his victory. One fan wrote, “I am grateful justice prevailed for him.” Another commenter noted, “Glad the gold digger didn’t get what she was trying to get.”
