The recent “Hair Metal Night” episode of “Dancing with the Stars” featured a surprise guest judge – none other than KISS frontman Gene Simmons. While some fans were excited to see Simmons bring his rockstar energy to the show, others were worried about how his blunt honesty would play out.
As Simmons took his seat at the judges’ table, he wasted no time in making his presence known. After Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong’s performance, Simmons quipped, “Chandler, you fogged up my glasses.” He went on to praise Kinney’s emotional connection to the dance, saying, “You moved me, not just with your gyrations and so on, but your beautiful face and how you were into the emotion of it – top to bottom.”
However, not everyone was impressed with Simmons’ judging style. Some viewers took to social media to express their discomfort with his comments, which they felt focused too much on the physical appearance of the contestants. One user called his remarks “creepy” and said they “ruined” the episode.
