Amy was just trying to do her job, filling in for a colleague at a busy restaurant. But her day took an unexpected turn when she heard a familiar voice – Heather, her former high school bully. Heather had made Amy’s life miserable, constantly mocking and belittling her.
At first, Amy hoped to avoid Heather’s attention, but it was no use. Heather spotted her and began to taunt her, saying she wasn’t surprised to see Amy cleaning tables, implying that she was destined for a lowly job. Heather’s friends snickered and laughed, but Amy’s coworkers were not having it.
Jack, the sous-chef, stepped out of the kitchen and confronted Heather, telling her she couldn’t speak to Amy like that. Maria, the head chef, backed him up, warning Heather that if she couldn’t be respectful, she’d have to leave. Heather tried to justify her behavior, saying she was just being honest, but Jack was having none of it.
He fired back, saying that Amy’s hard work in one day was more than Heather had accomplished in her entire life. The restaurant staff rallied around Amy, and Heather and her friends began to backpedal. They asked to speak to the owner, but Amy had a surprise for them.
With a confident smile, Amy stepped forward and said, “That’ll be me!” The tables had turned, and Heather was left speechless. Amy had finally found her voice and stood up to her bully, with the support of her coworkers and her own inner strength.
