The star of the reality show lost 440 lbs and shocked everyone with her drastic weight loss!

According to Express, Tammy Slaton, the star of the US reality TV series “1000 Pound Sisters,” has shared the “amazing changes in her life” as she continues her weight loss journey. At 37, Tammy has captivated fans by losing 440 pounds and transforming her outlook on life. Her significant weight loss meant her old clothes no longer fit, prompting a need for a new wardrobe. Remarkably, she can now walk unassisted for the first time in years.

Tammy once weighed a daunting 700 pounds but, after undergoing bariatric surgery, she now weighs just 280 pounds—a weight she hasn’t seen since her teenage years. “I had lost over 100 pounds in the last six months, and I was amazed by that number. The last time I weighed this low, I was around 15 or 16 years old. I did it!” Tammy exclaimed with joy. Although she now deals with excess sagging skin, she remains hopeful that plastic surgery can address this issue.

Tammy’s transformation and positive shift in behavior have garnered widespread admiration from her fans, who have flooded her with supportive comments. One fan remarked, “Wow, Tammy has completely changed. I’ve watched all the seasons.” Another added, “She looks completely different on the outside, but her attitude and behavior have become so much more positive.”

“I haven’t cried this much in a long time,” one person said. “Sometimes the most successful people are the ones who are the most determined,” another commented.

Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton seek help from a bariatric surgeon due to their struggles with weight. Leading mostly sedentary lives, their primary income comes from their popular YouTube channel. The Kentucky sisters are now committed to losing weight to qualify for surgery and change their lives. The reality show, which premiered in January 2020, chronicles their weight loss journey along with their emotions, doubts, and fears.
