Warning: Spoilers ahead for Office Romance

The new rom-com Office Romance has caught the attention of Netflix viewers in the past couple of weeks for several reasons.

Not only does the new film star Jennifer Lopez alongside Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, but rumors have swirled about a possible relationship between the on-screen co-stars.

There’s a fair share of steamy scenes between the pair throughout the film, which may explain why there’s so much chatter about the title online.

But it’s one particular scene in Office Romance that viewers have warned about, which sits around the 1h 20min mark.

It’s nothing to do with some of the NSFW scenes which have got pulses racing in recent weeks; it’s actually a scene which comedically depicts childbirth.

Fans warn others of the 80-minute mark

You may want to watch it for yourself, but for those who are curious about what happens, it’s all about the moment where pregnant colleague Sydney (Betty Gilpin), suddenly goes into labor in the office.

Despite her water breaking and the feeling that the baby was coming “now,” she refuses to push until Jackie (Lopez) and Daniel (Goldstein) come clean about their secret office romance.

While they are both hesitant at first, and Goldstein’s British character has trouble remembering the number for emergency services in the US, Lopez’s character eventually obliges.

In a rather graphic manner, the character yells: “WE HAD SEX! IT HAPPENED! WE F***ED OUR BRAINS OUT!”

Sydney had asked if they were “in love with each other” and while Jackie denied it at first, it wasn’t long until the truth came out in one of the more comedic yet disturbing scenes of the show.

There is then an extremely graphic close-up of the baby crowning before being born on screen, which is rather explicit for a rom-com, catching several viewers off guard.

One viewer took to X, writing: “If you have Netflix, open the movie OFFICE ROMANCE and watch what happens at the 1 hour 20 minute mark.”

Someone replied, saying: “Literally just saw it and screamedddddddd,” as another added: “I did not have that on my 2026 bingo card.”

After watching the scene, one user admitted: “I now understand what y’all were talking about during the 1h20m mark in #officeromance.”

Relationship rumors circulate

According to The Sun, one movie source claimed: “It was an open secret during filming about Brett and J-Lo – they got on like a house on fire from the start, and the chemistry was electric, which viewers will see.

“They were very touchy, feely, and always laughing, and everyone suspected they were hooking up,” they claimed.

The insider added that the role was especially meaningful for Goldstein, 44, who reportedly wrote the part specifically with Lopez in mind after previously admitting she was his celebrity crush.

“We started asking ourselves who the best rom-com star is, and without hesitation, we both said JLo. And within the space of a long train journey, we had the whole idea for the film,” he told PEOPLE.

“It’s easy to write a rom-com when you have JLo in mind. She’s the best at this stuff. We just wanted to write something funny and smart enough to be worthy of her saying yes,” he added.

The pair were also spotted together outside Barlume in New York’s Flatiron district, back in May.

A Page Six source claimed the co-stars had plenty of “chemistry” during the outing and described their interactions as “friendly” throughout the evening.

“When Brett walked out of the restaurant, he seemingly didn’t know where he was going, but one of the managers sent him into J.Lo’s car and they left together,” they further alleged.
